Fleetwood Youth Soccer Club Programs
FYSC offers the following programs for its club players:

Academy(u6 & u8 age groups)
Our youngest players are a part of the FYSC Academy program. This co-ed program is designed to focus on individual skill development in an environment which fosters an enjoyment of the game. Players are broken out into teams so that the coach to player ratio is optimized. Training sessions are typically twice a week during the evenings and last approximately one hour. Games are held once a week on the weekend and take place on a small sided field in a 4v4 format. This format allows for players to maximize the amount of opportunities to touch the soccer ball in a low pressure situation.

Travel(u9 & older age groups)
As our players reach the u9 age group, teams are formed at each age group and participate in the
Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League, Teams will play against other teams from other youth soccer clubs who participate in the RBJSL. Examples of other youth soccer clubs who play in the RBJSL include, but are not limited to: Conrad Weiser, Exeter, Governor Mifflin, Wyomissing, Oley, Tulpehocken, and Wilson.

Travel teams are formed collectively by the BOD and coaches involved with the team at a given age group. There are times when there is a need to move players to an older age to maintain a team at a particular age group. Players designated to play up to an older age group will be selected after consultation with the BOD, coaches, and parents/guardians. Players should expect to receive playing time in each game and coaches are encouraged to make every effort to balance playing time equally.

Elite(u11 & older age groups)
As players reach the u11 age group, the BOD and coach will review to determine if that team may be a good fit to participate in more competitive leagues and tournaments in the region. Examples may be APL, Rock League. Decisions regarding this process and team formation will take place in the spring before the next soccer year begins. Elite teams may also participate in winter play in local indoor or outdoor leagues. Winter training may also take place. Playing time during games is merit based and no amount of time is guaranteed.

Travel and Elite Teams are formed to start play for the Fall season and are designed to stay intact throughout the "soccer year" from August until June.

Costs for all three programs are developed annually by the BOD.
